There are two scenarios in which a guard will be sent to attend a home. If you have subscribed to Guard Response and your Alarm is triggered, after it has been alerting for 30 seconds or more without a response from you, we will dispatch a guard to your home. Alternatively, Guard Response subscribers can also request a guard on demand in the Ring app via the dashboard or from your Video Doorbell or Security Camera's Live View.

Our Guard Response network is comprised of over 90% companies accredited under the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS). In certain limited geographic areas where no ACS-accredited providers are registered or able to deliver adequate coverage, it is necessary to appoint a non-ACS supplier. In such cases, we implement enhanced due diligence procedures to ensure the provider meets our compliance standards. This includes verification of appropriate employers’ and public liability insurance, confirmation that all deployed officers hold valid licences issued by the Security Industry Authority and confirmation that robust recruitment, screening, and vetting processes are in place in line with UK regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

Guards are dispatched to your home or business as quickly as possible and usually arrive within 30 minutes, subject to location, weather, and traffic conditions.

Guard Response operatives are not authorised to enter any property or business premises without your permission. Guards report on exterior inspection and perimeter checks only. Guards will not detain intruders or individuals engaged in suspicious activity. Where unexpected visitors are present, guards will identify them, log their presence, escalate to emergency services if required and report findings accordingly.

If our guard discovers a situation that requires help from the emergency services then they will contact them on your behalf.

The Account Holder and Shared Users of a Ring device can request and cancel help from Guard Response.

No. You do not have to sign a long term contract and monthly subscribers can cancel at any time.

When your Ring Alarm triggers an alert that you do not respond to within 30 seconds or more, we'll automatically dispatch a guard to attend the scene. You will receive a notification that let's you know our guard has attended, real-time status updates and you'll receive a report once we have confirmed your home is secure.

Yes. If you have a Ring Video Doorbell and Security Camera customers and a subscription to Guard Response, you can request help from Guard Response on demand from the Ring app dashboard or Live View. In the Ring app you'll find a slider that allows you to request help from Guard Response. Changed your mind? No problem. You can cancel anytime before a guard arrives.

When a Licensed Security Guard arrives at your property, they need clear entryways and pathways to perform a thorough perimeter check. If gates or pathways are blocked, or pets are roaming freely outside, the guard may not be able to complete a full evaluation of your home.
