At Ring, we are always looking for ways to support organisations that are working to help build stronger communities and improve the lives of friends and neighbours. So when we heard about the Game4Ukraine, we were keen to lend our support to such an important cause.
Supported by President Zelensky's UNITED24 initiative, the Game4Ukraine is a charity football match that aims to raise funds to help reconstruct schools damaged during the conflict in Ukraine. All of the money raised by the Game4Ukraine, through ticket sales, sponsorship and merchandise available on the day, will go towards the reconstruction fund. The Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky Lyceum in Chernihiv Oblast is one of 200 schools destroyed since the war began and the first that will receive funds for reconstruction from the Game4Ukraine. This exciting match will be held at FC Chelsea’s legendary Stamford Ground stadium, kicking-off at 6pm on Saturday 5th August, 2023.
The Game4Ukraine will see two teams compete in front of a packed stadium and an audience of millions watching at home. Team captains and Ukrainian football stars Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko will each lead a team of current players, footballing legends and familiar faces from the world of music, film, lifestyle and sport.
Along with our belief in the the importance of the Game4Ukraine, we also see our involvement as a way to recognise our Ukrainian team members who continue to show their commitment to us every day. With that in mind, we are very proud to announce that Ring will be sponsoring the Game4Ukraine and helping to support the cause wherever we can.
