All Ring Video Doorbells can send notifications to your phone, tablet and PC when anyone presses your doorbell or triggers the built-in motion sensors. When you answer the notification, you can see, hear and speak to visitors from anywhere. The main differences between each doorbell are their additional features and how they receive power.
Video Doorbell is powered by a rechargeable, built-in battery or can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system. It features 1080p HD video and Customisable Motion Zones that let you create and adjust your own Motion Detection areas. (reducing unnecessary motion notifications and conserving the battery life of your Video Doorbell).
Door View Cam is powered by a rechargeable, Quick Release Battery Pack. Unlike other doorbells, which are typically mounted to the side of a door, Door View Cam can be mounted directly on your door to replace a compatible peephole. It also features 1080p HD video, Knock Detection, and Customisable Motion Zones.
To check whether your existing intercom is compatible with Ring Intercom, visit the Compatibility Checker on Ring.com.
No. By default Ring Intercom does not record or store conversations. If you are the owner of another Ring device on your property, such as a Video Doorbell or Security Camera, you can connect this device to your Ring Intercom via the Ring app, using the Linked Devices feature. With Linked Devices activated and a Ring Home plan in place, a visitor interacting with your building intercom will trigger your other selected Ring device to start recording.

Alarm Packs are simple enough that they can be installed without any tools or professional installation. Simply place a Contact Sensor on any door or window in your home, and choose to get a mobile notification whenever they are opened. You can also place a Motion Detector in any room of your home, and get a notification whenever motion is detected. Add Outdoor Siren outside your home so you can alert others if an emergency arises.
No. Notifications are available without a Ring Home plan.
