For the second year running, “Ring My Bell” is back on ITV’s popular live TV show, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
Whose is the view?
A celebration of local communities, Ring My Bell is a studio game that sees the audience challenged to recognise the view from their doorway on a Video Doorbell view. If it’s theirs, they stand up and shout: “Ding dong, that’s my doorbell!” to start the game. Saturday 4th March saw the return of Ring My Bell for 2023, with the action happening on doorsteps in Essex, Staffordshire and Sunderland.
A dash to the door
To avoid any canine confusion caused by the sound of the iconic Ring chime tone, hosts Ant and Dec issued a quick warning to “Get the earmuffs on the dog!”. They then challenged viewers at home who recognise the Video Doorbell view to race to the selected door with a specific item, press the Ring Video Doorbell and shout: “Ring My Bell!”. The items viewers had to bring were a saucepan for the first round, “something frozen” for the second and a duvet for the third. At each location, viewers raced to the door clutching the chosen items and arrived before the timer ended, winning a cool £500 for themselves and their delighted neighbour in studio.
Fans of Ring My Bell took to Twitter, expressing their delight at the game’s return:
“My mum’s buying a Ring doorbell just in case there’s a possibility of her being on Saturday Night Takeaway”.
Community champions
At Ring, nothing is more important than bringing communities together to build safer and more connected neighbourhoods. So we were thrilled ‘’Ring My Bell’’ returned to Saturday Night Takeaway for a celebration of community spirit. You never know, next time it might be you shouting: “Ring My Bell!”.
